I am a Finnish feminist scholar working on topics related to business-society relations, gender equality policy, employment relations, and welfare state employment. I obtained my PhD from Hanken School of Economics in 2016 with a thesis titled “The Politics of Gender Pay Equity“. From August 2022, I am an Assistant Professor in Organizational Communication at Aalto University School of Business. My multidisciplinary work combines elements of several academic fields that merge into my specific area of research; feminist studies on business-society relations.
Before my doctoral studies and academic career, I worked in project research studying topics around gender equality and working life in several Finnish universities and research institutes. I also briefly worked in a trade union and in Gender Equality Unit within Finnish state administration. I build on these experiences also in my current work.
I am a co-chair of ESA-European Sociological Association RN 14 “Gender Relations in the Labour Market and the Welfare State”, and a member of editorial board (2022-2025) of Work, Employment and Society.
